IT Equipment

IT Equipment RecyclingWe collect large and small amounts of IT equipment direct from business premises. Any information on the hard drive is physically destroyed  to ensure that information is irretrievable.

Why is it important to recycle IT equipment?
Certain pieces of IT equipment, such as computer monitors, are classed as hazardous waste and cannot legally be disposed of with general waste. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive was implemented in July 2007 and requires businesses to dispose of IT equipment responsibly.

What type of IT equipment can be recycled?
We can collect and recycle a wide range of IT equipment including:
 • Monitors (CRT and flat screen)
 • PC Cabinets
 • Laptop computers
 • Keyboards
 • Printers
 • Fax machines
 • Hard Drives
 • Computers

How does the service work?

The IT equipment from your business will be dismantled and recycled. Metal, glass and plastic components are separated and baled before being sent for recycling. Electronic components and circuit boards will be melted down and any precious metals recovered.

Secure Data Services: Digital Data
We also offer a special confidential digital data destruction service for hard drives. This involves the physical destruction of computer hard drives to ensure that information is irretrievable. The serial number of each destroyed hard drive is recorded, allowing us to provide certificates of destruction for audit purposes.
