Environmental Impact
We take our impact on the environment seriously and in addition to an in house green team, which looks at continuous process improvement, we are also accredited to ISO 14001 standard.
We record our environmental impact as part of our parent company Changeworks 'Assessing Our Impact' process, which is published in our annual review.
Efficient Systems
Our collections are scheduled on a dedicated web-based application where dynamic changes to vehicle routings can be made in real time and ahead of schedule. All vehicles in our modern fleet are fitted with GPS tracking route optimisation software.Collection routes are downloaded automatically to hand held PDAs, on which our drivers also record the collections made. On their return, this data is automatically uploaded to our invoicing system. At present we send out paper invoices but we can also offer our clients the option of Direct Debit to further reduce the amount of paper we consume as a business.
UK Recyclers
Wherever possible we seek to find recycling sources for our materials in the UK.Better Equipment
As we’ve grown, we have also aimed to reduce our ecological footprint. For example, we have invested in baling equipment to reduce the impact of processing and transportation. Changeworks Recycling has also invested in a dedicated and highly secure confidential paper shredding complex, operating to UKSSA standards.
